Layouts and More

I hope you were able to stop by in March and download the freebies I had for you. Keep your eyes open for more free digital goodness in the near future- both here and on facebook.
I have been having fun the past few days - working on challenges and layouts. Too much digital happiness!
Here is a layout I completed for this week's Art Journaling Prompt at jessicasprague.com The prompt was "tomorrow". I find myself using music as the focal point in these layouts. I truly enjoy the process of Art Journaling - painting, stamping, chalking, inking - digitally of course.

This layout was part of a speedscrap on Thursday night at jessicasprague.com. A new 'requirement' was posted every 10 minutes. At the end of the hour you were done - you had a little bit of time to put those finishing touches on an load your layout to the gallery. I love speed scraps as you never know what will come next. Here were the requirements for this scrap....1) choose one photo that covers entire background - grab a few extra photos 2) get messy - digitally 3) add something with stripes 4) add stars! 5) use an element 3 times 6) use an office supply item 7)use the word YES in the journaling or title....

This was one of the weekly challenges at jessicasprague.com. The basic idea was to use a series of photos with the focus on the inanimate objects and not the person (though I could not resist including this one bigger pic of my daughter)

This layout was from Photoshop Friday 3-30-12 - again at jessicasprague.com. The template was provided as part of the 'lesson'. I chose the papers for Creativy by Crystal -RainbowSherbet. I love the bright playful colors.
And finally - this is my second project of a class I recently took at reneepearson.com ~ It's Elemental - taught by Tiffany Tillman. The focus of the class was on the use of elements - specifically on clustering (yes, I am cluster challenged) I love the way this one turned out. The paper and elements are from a kit by Creashens.

I am putting the finishing touches on week 13 of Project 366! I'll share that with you tomorrow.

A beautiful day here in Colorado....weather was spectacular....hope you had a great day in your corner of the world. Till tomorrow...by the Shore.

Sharing the Love!

One of my favorite digi bloggers is Simply Tiffany Studios. Tiffany is also one of my favorite digi instructors over at ReneePearson.com .
One of her latest blog posts shares a new resource for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements - RadLab. I am so impressed with what this program can do. It really simplifies the process of editing your photos - freeing your time for many other creative outlets. Take a few minutes and head over here to Tiffany's blog. She is also hosting a giveaway on her blog for one copy of RadLab.
On another note - I have been busy creating a new digital collection for you - here's a preview of what I will be releasing a bit later this month. Look very closely and perhaps you can identify the theme of this collection.
Have a wonderful weekend! Be back soon....by the Shore

My Digi-versary! Celebrate!

Last summer I began an amazing journey in digital design. I was blessed to be able to secure a seat in jessicasprague.com's Art of Digital Design class. This class provided me with the opportunity to learn and grow my own digital scrapbooking skills as well as develop an extensive portfolio of designer techniques essential for digital design. At the end of the class (after successfully passing an exam and critique of my first digital kit), I was proud to announce that I was a jessicasprague.com certified digital designer. And "by the Shore designs" was born.

I was doubly blessed to be invited in September of 2010 to be a digital product designer at www.faithsisters.com.

Throughout the past year, I have met some fabulous women (and men) in the digital design field. I continue to take classes to learn as much as I can about adobe photoshop, adobe illustrator, digital scrapbooking and design concepts ~ I have always enjoyed learning and look forward to continuing this journey. My favorite sites for digital classes are www.jessicasprague.com and www.reneepearson.com.

To celebrate my "digi-versary", by the Shore designs store at FaithSisters is having a 50% off sale for the entire month of July. I am also releasing two new digital collections - All Star Birthday - in primary colors and pastel colors. These collections are perfect for showcasing your birthday celebrations - as well as other special events.

A good friend of mine that began the design journey when I did is also having a celebration sale (through July 15th) Head on over and visit Kelly at SimplyKellyDesigns and take a moment to congratulate her on her success as a digital designer! (truly one of my favorites)

If you are in the US, I pray that you are enjoying your holiday weekend and are giving thanks for the freedom it represents. Wherever you are visiting from - WELCOME - have a wonderful weekend ~ enjoy the blessings that surround you and come back soon and visit - by the Shore.

I just love learning as much as I can about scrapbooking, art, design and 'digi' - and online classes totally fit into my busy lifestyle. Check out the latest class being offered by Tiffany Tillman at www.reneepearson.com Scraphic Design 2 CORE. I enrolled (and am in the process of finishing) the first Scraphic Design class. I love Tiffany's teaching style! and the best part - once you have registered for a class at reneepearson.com, you can always go back for a refresher - whenever you wish - they are available for a lifetime!

Keep your eyes posted here for a sale in July at my store at FaithSisters! It's a sale you will not want to miss!

Have a great day...by the Shore.
