Looking for Digi Classes

I just love learning as much as I can about scrapbooking, art, design and 'digi' - and online classes totally fit into my busy lifestyle. Check out the latest class being offered by Tiffany Tillman at Scraphic Design 2 CORE. I enrolled (and am in the process of finishing) the first Scraphic Design class. I love Tiffany's teaching style! and the best part - once you have registered for a class at, you can always go back for a refresher - whenever you wish - they are available for a lifetime!

Keep your eyes posted here for a sale in July at my store at FaithSisters! It's a sale you will not want to miss!

Have a great the Shore.

Week 26 - Providence 365

It has been a blessed few weeks since I shared week 24 of Providence 365. And these two weeks have been filled with God’s Love!

Vacation Bible School was, once again, an incredible experience. We had over 420 children registered to attend and were blessed with over 150 volunteers. The church campus was filled with laughter, smiles, lots of hugs and of course, God’s Love.

My husband and I celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary last Monday. Our daughter surprised us by making dinner reservations for the two of us at a local inn (one which we had never visited before) The meal was incredible and the time spent with my husband was priceless. And we were surrounded by God’s Love.

Saturday – June 25th – is Jesus’ Half Birthday. A wonderful time to share God’s Love with everyone we meet. (OK - we know that it is ALWAYS a wonderful time to share God's Love.)

And each day we awake and see the signs of God’s Love in the beauty around us – a fluttering butterfly reminds us of our new life in Jesus Christ – watching a Doe care for her young fawn – a smile and a hug from a child – His love surrounds us.

In 1 John 4:8 we are reminded that….

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love

This week – open your eyes and realize that God’s Love is EVERYWHERE. As you work on your layout for Providence 365 – look for His love in places that you may not have seen before. You will be amazed that His love surrounds us – God IS love.

Be sure to post your layout in our Providence 365 Gallery at Faith Sisters and share it with us in our Providence 365 Forum - here.

Here is word-art to help you with your layout. Have fun…and God Bless!

1,2,3 Scrap!

Checking my calendar - yes, it's the third Thursday of the month - time for our 1,2,3 Scrap! challenge.

If you are new to the challenge, the “rules” are simple – I will provide three ‘requirements’ for your layout – and you take it from there. It is great to see how different each layout is from the others. This month’s challenge will focus on the photos in your layout….

Are you ready…..

1. You will use two and only two photos. One photo should fill most of the page and the second
photo will be significantly smaller.

2. Photos may not be the same “shape”.

3. The smaller photo should have a minimum of 3 mats/layers between it and the background layer.

Everything else on the layout is fair game. When you are done, please post your layout in the 1,2,3 Scrap! gallery – here

Each participant that completes a layout following this month’s 1,2,3 Scrap! challenge will receive a coupon for my recently released Photo Mask Collection (shown below) In order to receive the coupon, I simply ask that you post your layout before July 5th in the 1,2,3 Scrap! gallery and provide a link here in the 1,2,3 Scrap! forum at Faith Sisters.

I look forward to seeing what you design! So, ready to go?….1,2,3 Scrap!

Providence 365 - Week 24

This is one of my favorite times of the year! Monday begins our annual Vacation Bible School ~ a community outreach that touches between 300-400 kiddos fifth grade and younger. Our children love this week as they get to know Jesus and that God loves them so much. Our volunteers (over 150 students in 6th-12th grade and adults) are a blessing to our church, our community and to the children. And EVERYONE has fun! This year’s theme is PANDA-MANIA! (I simply love Group's VBS programs - they are the best!)

We know that for some children – the church is their second home, their ‘other’ family. They know that God loves them and they look forward to learning more about Jesus each week – in the church and at home. For other children, this is the only time of the year that they enter a church. If we reach just one child and help them see that Jesus is their best friend – then the week is a success! Maybe we just spark a little flame in their heart and soul that makes them want to learn more – another success as it’s a great start. And the more the merrier – our ultimate goal is that all of these children know Jesus, and know that he is our Savior.

As a leadership team, we start planning after the last VBS, documenting lessons learned and beginning preparations for the coming year. There are so many behind the scenes activities to make this special week happen – and with His help, it all comes together. Each leadership meeting begins and ends with prayer – and He is with us every step of the way; guiding us, preparing us and ensuring that nothing is overlooked.

As we have gathered for the past several months – and as we gather this coming week – we remember:

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20

When surrounded by hundreds of children and volunteers for five straight days, three hours a day ~ how wonderful to remember that we are not alone – He is right there with us! Where are you gathering this coming week?

Please enjoy this word art and have fun with your layout this week!

have a wonderful week - wherever you the Shore

Love a Speed Scrap

I love speed scraps - a fun way to challenge yourself to get something done and in your "to be printed" folder.....the only thing better than ONE Speed Scrap is to participate in TWO - just days apart.

This is a layout I completed during a Speed Scrap hosted by Precepts and Promises (Barbara) at Faith Sisters. She provided this lovely mask - which was perfect for this theme. The best part was being able to remember someone near and dear to me - totally had a smile on my face as I cherished a few memories.

The next speed scrap was hosted at by "mymalloryboys" of the JS Creative Team. Another layout that brought smiles as I pulled it all together. My girls are ever so precious to me (and I tend to take a lot of photos - go figure)

Here is a preview of my Playful Collection - and it is available HERE at Faithsisters. If you have never participated in a Speed Scrap - I encourage you to step outside of that comfort zone. They are fun and easy! The host/hostess of the speed scrap provides prompts every few minutes letting you know what to add to your layout (and how). You have no idea what is coming next, you move forward in faith that it will all come together (and you know what, it almost always done!) Speed scraps are typically an hour in duration - and it is an awesome feeling to hit "save as" and know that you have another layout to add to your collection!

Wishing you a wonderful the Shore.

I love adding borders (or snippets of borders) to my projects. They add a bit of that extra 'something' that can make your layout pop. They can draw your eye to your page's focal point and they add a decorative touch that can pull it all together.

by the Shore designs has just released a Batch of Borders ~ 8 borders provided in png format that are ready to add your favorite paper or simply recolor to match your layout. Here is a layout that features 3 borders from this new kit. (It also uses by the Shore designs "Just Because Paper Collections - Spots and Dots & Solids and Stripes)

A Batch of Borders is now available in my store at Faith Sisters. Come over and check it out!

Wishing you a beautiful the Shore.
