Welcome to the Scrap Scrap Scrap Blog Train! All the participating designers have recently been certified as JessicaSprague.com Certified Digital Designers. We are celebrating our new status by giving away mini-kits on a subject we all love - scrapbooking! Here's what you need to know:

I have been scrapbooking and preserving our families memories since 1994. Around 2005, I began adding digital pages to our albums. I absolutely love both methods of scrapbooking. Tradtional and digital each offer a wonderful creative outlet while allowing me to capture memories for my family and friends to enjoy for years to come. In late August, I was invited to join Faith Sisters as a digital designer. This is a true blessing for me and a great place to call "home". I encourage you to check out their website. The digital offerings are wonderful and the inspiration is fabulous. If you like challenges, this is certainly the place to visit. Designer challenges are a regular feature. Lay it Down

Jennifer at Faith Sisters has just posted her October "My Sweet Sweet Song" challenge - here. The theme - Lay it Down.

Have I told you that I LOVE challenges. They start the creative juices flowing and inspire you to try something new in your scrapbooking and faithbooking. Perhaps it is using a color palette that you have not used before - or a new technique - or perhaps a topic which you have shied away from. And the best part - you complete another layout for your albums.

by the Shore designs stepped up to the designer challenge and created a special mini-kit based on this month's theme and color scheme. There are also two quickpages available (and they are free through the end of October) Quick Page 1 and Quick Page 2. Here are previews of my kit and of my two quickpages. Digi - It's more than just scrapbooking

Digital can be so much more than creating great scrapbook pages. I use digital paper and elements for cards and other hybrid projects. (hybrid: when you combine digital with some of the more traditional crafting elements to create something really cool)

Toucan Scraps (Angela) just shared a great tutorial and a designers challenge for making a card - check it out over at Faith Sisters. Here are two of the cards that I made.

The cards I created are a different size then hers , so I want to share my process. I set up my photoshop template using a "canvas" of 8 1/2 x 11. I can make 2 cards from this template, each card is 4 1/4 x 5.5 and each will fit perfectly in an A2 envelope. I added 4 1/4 x 5 .5 base layers to use as clipping maskes for my background paper. Then I layered additional paper and elements - adjusting the size of each until - voila! - two new cards! Simply print this file on 8 1/2 x 11 card stock or a a nice weight presentation paper. Cut in half, then score/fold each card.
