Bountiful Blessings

Bountiful "Digi" Blessings, that is! Welcome to the Faith Sisters Blog Train! As we each count our many blessings in life; Faith Sisters wants to make sure that we share a few blessings with you! Each of the designers at Faith Sisters has a beautiful blessing in the form of a FREE digital kit. Each digital kit reflects a lovely color scheme (so they will coordinate with the others) and an ever so appropriate theme of.......(wait for it)......BLESSINGS! (you saw that coming, right?)

You can check out more of my digital kits, quick pages, and templates in my shop here. Make sure you stop by each of our Designers' blogs to collect all of these fabulous kits. (your patience is appreciated if one of these blogs is not yet updated, our designers are in many time zones)

This kit is also perfect for cardmaking and other hybrid projects. It is now available in my store at FaithSisters.

Do you like FRU FRU? Definition: derived from the phrase spelled "frou frou" meaning fancy, elegant or very elaborate. 1. very decorated or girly in nature 2. lacy or frilly in nature.

We all love a little fru-fru now and then (and a little bling never hurts either)

Faith Sisters has a very special collaboration kit for you SO FRU FRU (kit 2 of 2) (and there is a special offer for this kit - check it out here)

by the Shore designs contributed the following kit to this So Fru Fru collection.
I also have this quickpage - ready to add your favorite photo.

Have a fru fru the Shore!

Welcome to the Scrap Scrap Scrap Blog Train! All the participating designers have recently been certified as Certified Digital Designers. We are celebrating our new status by giving away mini-kits on a subject we all love - scrapbooking! Here's what you need to know:
  • All mini-kits will be available for download through October 8, 2010
  • You can also enter to win a full kit from each designer on their blog. Each blog has different rules on how to enter so make sure you follow the directions!
  • We will randomly select one designer's blog and one random comment on that blog. If that person has commented on all 10 blogs he/she will win all 10 kits!
  • Be sure to include your e-mail in each comment so we know how to contact you when you win!

Now that we have all that out of the way, let's get this party started!

I have been scrapbooking and preserving our families memories since 1994. Around 2005, I began adding digital pages to our albums. I absolutely love both methods of scrapbooking. Tradtional and digital each offer a wonderful creative outlet while allowing me to capture memories for my family and friends to enjoy for years to come. In late August, I was invited to join Faith Sisters as a digital designer. This is a true blessing for me and a great place to call "home". I encourage you to check out their website. The digital offerings are wonderful and the inspiration is fabulous. If you like challenges, this is certainly the place to visit. Designer challenges are a regular feature. (and by the Shore designs offers a 1,2,3 Scrap challenge on the third Thursday of the month) SpeedScraps are on Tuesday. And there are many more challenges in the forum. Won't you come over and say hello, you can find us right here >>> FaithSisters
My "Scrap Scrap Scrap" mini kit is a tribute to YOU, the scrapbooker, and reflects both methods of scrapbooking. You can download the mini kit here through October 18th - after that the complete Scrap It kit (even more pretty paper and cute embellishments for your scrapping 'needs') will be available in my store at FaithSisters. The mini kit is my gift to you. You can also enter to win my latest Digital Collection - Life's a Quilt Paper and Elements! You can enter three ways.

1. Follow me on this website (right column) and leave a message in this post letting me know you did.

2. Follow me on Facebook and leave a separate message in this post.

3. In yet a separate message post here (because I want you to maximize your chances to win!), please let me know the theme for a digital kit that you would like to see in by the Shore designs' store.

You can do one, two, three or all of the above. Each separate comment will reflect an entry. Please include your e-mail in each comment so you can be contacted when you win. Winner(s) will be chosen using

You may also follow me on Twitter and I hope you do. You never know, I may just extend a special offer there that you won't see either here or on facebook.

Your next train stop is Butterflies and Bluebells

Here is the list of all the participating designers and their blogs in order. The designers are from all over the world so please be patient if the blog train posts aren't posted yet.

Life's A Quilt

Just released - Life's A Quilt - a paper collection and elements collection designed for both those that appreciate the joys of quilting as well as those that recognize that quilting parallels life in so many ways.

A quilt is like love, made to last forever.

When I make of my hands, I give of my heart.

Families are like tapestry, woven through the years.
With threads of joy and laughter, happiness and tears.
Good friends are like quilts.
They age with you, but never lose their warmth.
You can check out the full Life's a Quilt collection at FaithSisters - here
(and don't forget, we have a fabulous "blog train" coming on the 14th - a chance to visit the blogs of 10 awesome digital designers - a freebie on each blog and the opportunity to win some very cool digital kits)
Praying you are blessed with beautiful Fall days. I just love this time of year.
Have a great week. by the Shore

Lay it Down

Jennifer at Faith Sisters has just posted her October "My Sweet Sweet Song" challenge - here. The theme - Lay it Down.

Have I told you that I LOVE challenges. They start the creative juices flowing and inspire you to try something new in your scrapbooking and faithbooking. Perhaps it is using a color palette that you have not used before - or a new technique - or perhaps a topic which you have shied away from. And the best part - you complete another layout for your albums.

by the Shore designs stepped up to the designer challenge and created a special mini-kit based on this month's theme and color scheme. There are also two quickpages available (and they are free through the end of October) Quick Page 1 and Quick Page 2. Here are previews of my kit and of my two quickpages. (I will also be working on my own layout based on Jennifer's Challenge - oh, but what song.....)

My friends - have a wonderful day.... by the Shore

A train you do not want to miss....

Come and join us for a super fun blog train - 10 talented digital designers - each sharing a special minikit about something you already love - Scrapbooking. And there will be chances to win more! More info to follow as it gets closer - and get ready to SCRAP, SCRAP, SCRAP! October 14th - October 18th!

Digi - It's more than just scrapbooking

Digital can be so much more than creating great scrapbook pages. I use digital paper and elements for cards and other hybrid projects. (hybrid: when you combine digital with some of the more traditional crafting elements to create something really cool)
Toucan Scraps (Angela) just shared a great tutorial and a designers challenge for making a card - check it out over at Faith Sisters. Here are two of the cards that I made.

The cards I created are a different size then hers , so I want to share my process. I set up my photoshop template using a "canvas" of 8 1/2 x 11. I can make 2 cards from this template, each card is 4 1/4 x 5.5 and each will fit perfectly in an A2 envelope. I added 4 1/4 x 5 .5 base layers to use as clipping maskes for my background paper. Then I layered additional paper and elements - adjusting the size of each until - voila! - two new cards! Simply print this file on 8 1/2 x 11 card stock or a a nice weight presentation paper. Cut in half, then score/fold each card.

I have a freebie template of the card base for you - download it here.

Please take a moment to check out Toucan Scraps blog - here. She is a gifted digital designer!
The papers, elements and epoxy stickers for my cards are from my Fall into Autumn Collection - also available at Faith Sisters here

Thanks for stopping by - see you again soon - by the Shore.
